NVGP Qualification Race Series Purpose: NVGP Qualification Race Series Purpose: The NVGP Qualification Race Series (QRS) is a three race series promoted by Minnesota Cycling Federation (MCF) member clubs under USAC/USCF guidelines. The QRS is established to provide cyclists the opportunity to compete at three events and earn points based on individual performance in each event in order to qualify for NVGP team selection and race participation. These points will be accumulated and tabulated and made readily available on this site as well as at each host event. The two best overall performing teams based on accumulated points will be allowed to enter a four-member team into the 2008 NVGP. The members of these teams will be required to be licensed category 1 racers on day of NVGP registration and be formal members of that club as declared on each individual's license. A third 'composite' team of no less than four riders will be determined by selecting the next best placed racers overall and NOT on either of the two selected teams/clubs earning NVGP entry. The four-member composite team members will be 'voluntarily' selected meaning that these individuals are under no obligation to compete as a member of the composite team. If one or more of these riders should opt to not compete for any reason the next best placed rider(s) will be selected to fill the minimum 4 rider per team requirement. The only other requirements for these composite racers is that they carry USAC Category 1 license on day of NVGP registration and will be able to commit to the registration requirements of a NRC 2.1 level stage race.
